Finally, the year 2016 has come to an end. Lots of things happened, presidential election in the U.S. being one of the major one.
But, good or bad, time flies.
Now moving on to 2017, I am sure you will have some new year resolutions. There will be things that you wanted to do but couldn’t do.
Or things that you were able to do but now you want to make it better than before. It could be anything related to your life. Be it your academic results or improving your lifestyle, everyone wants to live better.
We have just settled here in Arizona in 2016 and I really love my new home. Though it’s not that big, I still love my place to moon and back as there is no better place on earth than your own home. I have been buying things lately but now, me and my wife plan to do some major home improvements in 2017.
Let me tell you what are we planning to do.
1. Bathroom Remodeling
Big beautiful bathrooms really attract me. Attractive tiles, pretty bath tubs and all the bathroom gadgets fascinate me. Remodeling our bathrooms is on top of the list as this is going to take a serious budget out of my pocket. But we are all set to do this on priority in 2017.
We plan to completely renovate bathrooms including new tiles, bathtubs, showers, and cabinets. Looking forward to install some beautiful lights and curtains as well inside the bathroom. So all this is going to cost some serious money.
Our furniture is really in immaculate condition and we are not thinking to replace it as we speak. But my wife has been forcing me to replace mattresses, pillows, cushions and mattress pad. She is the boss, lol, so I have to look into this as well.
I am assuming this isn’t going to cost me a fortune as there are reasonable options available on Amazon. We are looking to buy an 8 inch memory foam mattress, some good pillows and a beautyrest mattress pad. I am sure this will make my wife happy.
This is not a priority really as the paint condition is good. Only stripping off from few places of the house but that’s not quite visible yet. So we might take few more months to decide if this is needed or not. My wife strongly advocates frugal living and so do I. So we really plan out budget and spend wisely.
This is all from me. Let me know what are your new year resolutions regarding your home.
Enjoy your holidays 🙂
